Although Facebook no longer allows the March for Babies badge to appear on your profile page, we continue to look for ways to make the application better. A big part of that is listening to you!

Well, Facebook just won’t allow us to bring the badge back to the profile page, but we have made some changes to the application in the last few days to help you reach your fundraising goals!

One of the biggest changes is we’ve updated the ‘home’ tab. You now have 6 easy ways to get the word out and fundraise for March for Babies!

THe new home tab

The new home tab

1. Post to your wall: Let everyone who comes to your profile page or reads your news feed know you’re walking and how far you are from your goal
2. Post to friends: Got a Facebook friend you want to make a personal appeal to? Use this button to write directly on their wall and simultaneously post to your own
3. Walk with me: Get a friend to join your team and walk with you–fundraising strength in numbers!
4. Send application: Know someone who is walking but needs some help? Send them the app
5. Create panoramic: The new profile layout may have removed the profile badge, but with one click you can change the pictures on your profile page to let everyone know you’re walking in March for Babies

7. Tweet it: Also on Twitter? Connect to your Twitter account and let your Tweeps know you’re walking in March for Babies

And you can still access the game, send emails, update your profile picture and story on the ‘game’ tab. If you already have the application installed, the changes will appear automatically. If you haven’t tried it out yet, you can get it here!

As always, let us know what you think!

With March for Babies just two months away, now is the time to start raising those dollars. If you’ve walked before, you’ve probably figured out some of the things that work for you. But we can all use a little inspiration, right?

Are you walking with your co-workers?

•       Ask your boss to offer up incentives like a prime parking spot or day off. Raffle them among people who raise $200.
•       Create a “Wall of Fame” and highlight everyone who raises more than $200.
•       Promote some competition between departments – which team has the most walkers and who wins on dollars?

Are you walking with family and friends?

•       Ask everyone on the team to help raise money, even if you know a lot of the same people.
•       Reach out to your Facebook friends, and ask them to share your request with their friends.
•       Dedicate your Facebook status to anyone who gives you a donation over a certain amount.

Speaking of Facebook… have you checked out our active community yet? Everyone is talking about March for Babies. Stop by for tips from folks who are walking – and share your own!
