Internationally famed model, Niki Taylor, proudly announces her participation in March of Dimes March for Babies to help raise awareness and critical funds for stronger, healthier babies. Taylor will join the March of Dimes in kicking off the walk in at Tropical Park in Miami, FL on the morning of Saturday, April 28th.
“As a mom of four healthy children, I am grateful to know the March of Dimes is tireless in their fight to improve the health of all babies. My family and I are supporting the March for Babies walk so that we can help other moms give their babies the healthiest possible start,” said Taylor who will be joining the opening ceremonies and leading the walk in Miami, close to where she grew up.
Herself a mother to a five month old son, a three year old daughter, and two 17 year old twin boys, Taylor connects with the cause and the need for people to sign up for the walk and fundraise. “I am proud to bring my own young ones out to be part of this event. Together we will walk for healthier babies, and for those born too soon and need our help.”
This Wednesday, April 1, we’ll be announcing our 2009 March for Babies Celebrity Chair. She’s gorgeous, she’s talented, she’s a new mom and we’re just thrilled she’s getting involved and speaking out for healthy babies!
Speaking of stars… Here’s a thank you to all our celebrity spokespeople who inspire their thousands of fans to follow their example. Like Sherri Shepherd, whose own son was born prematurely, Kelly Clarkson, our Team Youth Ambassador and Thalia, who gave birth to a healthy baby girl last year.
While we wait for the big reveal, who would you like to see as a March for Babies spokesperson? And don’t just think moms, any celebrity dads out there who would do a good job?
I wanted to share this little heart-felt video with you. It’s a message from Sherri Shepherd, co-host of ABC’s The View and a big supporter of the March of Dimes and March for Babies. Did you know Sherri has been walking and raising money for several years? If you’re lucky enough to live around there, you can walk with her in LA in April.
March for Babies is a special cause to Sherri. Her son, Jeffrey, was born 15 weeks too soon in 2005 and spent many long months in the NICU. He has a 4th birthday coming up, is absolutely adorable and doing very well!
Sherri is walking for her son. And because she wants to help make sure other moms and babies won’t have to go through what they did.
Thank you Sherri! We love you!
