I wanted to share this little heart-felt video with you. It’s a message from Sherri Shepherd, co-host of ABC’s The View and a big supporter of the March of Dimes and March for Babies. Did you know Sherri has been walking and raising money for several years? If you’re lucky enough to live around there, you can walk with her in LA in April.

March for Babies is a special cause to Sherri. Her son, Jeffrey, was born 15 weeks too soon in 2005 and spent many long months in the NICU. He has a 4th birthday coming up, is absolutely adorable and doing very well!

Sherri is walking for her son. And because she wants to help make sure other moms and babies won’t have to go through what they did.

Thank you Sherri! We love you!

Good Afternoon All,

I hope that we all raise enough money towards the cures and cares for many babies out there who need help. GOD Bless all who donate, all who participate, and all who do good deeds.

I am unable to walk for March for Babies, but I would like to make a donation in the name of my twin grandchildren Ethan and Alyssa who were born 14 weeks premature on January 23, 2009. How do I go about doing this?

My daughter KayLeigh was born 7 1/2 weeks premature on 9-11-01. She struggled to survive, but is now a thriving 7 yr. old. KayLeigh was the March of Dimes Ambassador Baby in Fort Dodge, IA for 2002. This is a cause our family strongly believes in. We walk for her and for every baby!

I am unable to walk but will make a donation to in memory of my son Julian who was born at 26 weeks and 3 days. Unfortunately, Julian only lived for 2 1/2 weeks. Julian’s very short life has changed me in so many ways. How do I contribute to team Sherri baby?

Linda, congratulations on your twin grandchildren and thank you so much for your support of March for Babies. Many families like yours, who have experienced premature birth, start a family team and walk in honor of their special babies. If you’re not walking, you can still give a gift to March for Babies. Just click on the ‘donate now’ button at the bottom of our homepage. At this point, donations in someones’s name can be made only on the March of Dimes Web site. This is the link: Lots of strength to Ethan and Alyssa and the entire family!

Good morning, I walk for my twins, Jordan and Makenna, who were born 10 weeks early weighing 2lbs each. My children are now healthy, happy, thriving 6 year olds. Every year in Des Moines, Ia people come together to support our children, it is a wonderful event to be a part of.

Janice, I’m so sorry your son Julian lost his battle and wish you lots of strength. It’s a wonderful thing you are doing to use your experience to help other babies and their families. And what a way to honor Julian’s life. Click on this link to visit Sherri’s March for Babies page: If you’re unable to join her, you can still contribute to her team.

I will be walking on behalf of my son Jermaine who was born at 26 weeks 5 days and weighing in at 2 pounds 4 oz. He is now a healthy almost 2 year old and we are so proud of him. My husband and I supported the March of Dimes long before my son was born through our respective sorority/fraternity (Zeta Phi Beta and Phi Beta Sigma). Now that we have Jermaine, doing the walk and raising the money means so much more to us.
