Team Captains – it’s time to hit the road
Posted by VolunteersRegister and run! Hit the road in the virtual world and in your neighborhood now to start building your team. It’s the snowball effect! The more walkers you have, the more money you can raise because each walker is working their networks to find sponsors just like you are. For returning Team Captains, be sure to touch base with a save-the-date message and reminder to everyone to register online. Happy trails…

Comment by Melanie — January 22, 2009 @ 5:38 pmTechnology is our best friend and worst enemy! Sorry you’re having trouble. March on over to my friends in the “Online Fundraising” blog. You’ll be able to get help with your team pages there. And once you’re running online, keep running — that’s the best way to raise money fast and also to build your team!

Comment by Karen — February 4, 2009 @ 3:16 pmHi Melanie,
I am going to use your advice and send out a message to my team getting them going to ask for some $10.00 donations. Hopefully, this will kick-start their fundraising efforts.
I also am having some difficulties with my team page (can’t edit it).
Great blog, I’ll keep checking back!
Karen

Comment by Melanie — February 6, 2009 @ 11:14 amThe “dimes to dollars” sales pitch has worked for me for years! It’s a great way to remind/educate people about our successful history. The polio generation mobilized to help find a cure for polio…and collecting dimes worked! Now, it’s our generations turn to mobilize against today’s biggest threat to our children by collecting dollars for prematurity. Good luck and keep us posted!

Comment by Chelsea — May 30, 2009 @ 11:11 amThis is my first time doing something like this and I don’t know what to do really. I am a Family team captain and I am trying to find out if there are any meetings or things I should know for next year. There was already a walk this year, so I am trying to get things to gether for next years walk. i.e., fundraising events, etc.
