Fabulous Family Teams

Posted by Volunteers

One of the great things about participating in March for Babies is meeting all the Family Teams that come out to walk every year.

Check out this video about some of the families who are participating and let us know in the comments why you walk!

For more information on how you can register your family to be part of March for Babies in your local area please e-mail us at

I march in memory of my 2 grandsons who were born at 24 weeks and did not survive. I also march in celebration of my grandson and granddaughter who were born at 32 weeks and are healthy babies.

I walk in memory of my son Ken Jr. who was born at 27 weeks and didn’t survive. It is such a great joy and feeling of accomplishment that I have when I finish the walk knowing that the little bit I contributed may save a life and prevent another family from going through what my family and I did.

I am marching this May for the first time in honor of my son Bryce who was born this summer at only 24 weeks. Bryce has gone through so much in his short life but he’s our micro preemie miracle and we are so proud of his fighting spirit.

I am also marching for all of my fellow NICU survivors and their precious little ones who are both with us and gone on to be with our Lord.

I thank God for the amazing work that the March of Dimes does and so grateful to have the opportunity to do my little part.

I walk in hope that I can make a difference for those babies who need us now. I walk in memory of my angel Ella born still and in honor of my boys, Aaron 5 yrs (born @ 36weeks after preterm labor) and Parker 2 yrs (born @ 39weeks),who were both very healthy.

I’ll keep fighting for all those babies who can’t do it for themselves.

I march for my daughter who was born with a congenial heart defect and died two hours after she was born. I march for the mothers who have lost they’re child expected and unexpectedly. It’s one of the smallest things I can do that has the biggest reward.

Shane’s Gang will be walking this year for the 3rd time in memory of Shane Michael Jeffery. Shane was born silent on November 8, 2007. He had a very severe form of caudal regression syndrome.

We are walking on a K Mart team (via my husband) for our son Calder who was born 9/27/09 with a cleft lip and palate. We can’t wait to be a part of this great event!
